The International: Dota 2 Betting Insights, Teams, Prize Pool

dota-2

The International 2024 just wrapped up, crowing Team Liquid as the best Dota 2 team in the world.

TI is the largest Dota 2 tournament of the year, a culmination of the season that has the top-performing teams from each region duking it out together in Copenhagen. Team Liquid has been declared the Grand Champions after only dropping three games throughout their entire run.

TL started with 2-0 wins against Aurora and beastcoast. Fans were shocked when they suddenly lost to Team Spirit soon after 0-2. The team seemed shaken and almost lost to underdogs BB Team, but Team Liquid ultimately came out on top and continued to the next stage.

Team Liquid easily took down Xtreme Gaming, barely dying during the 2-0 run. In fact, they only died once! It was then a hype match against rivals Cloud9 but Team Liquid steamrolled them as well. The Finals had TL face Gaimin Gladiators in a back-and-forth battle.

The Main Event started on September 8. The 16 teams played in a double-elimination bracket. The eight Bo3 head-to-head matches determined the bracket placement. Ultimately, two teams wound up in the Grand Finals.
