Stockholm-based Abios, a leading esports data and technology company, today announced that it has obtained a permit to deliver its market-leading products and services to operators licensed in Sweden.
Abios, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kambi Group plc, has obtained a five-year permit to provide esports solutions until 30 June 2028, per regulatory requirements from the Swedish Gambling Authority (Spelinspektionen).
The Swedish regulator announced a new gambling bill requiring betting suppliers to obtain B2B permits to service their clients to combat unlicensed gambling. From 1 July 2023, suppliers will be unable to service licensed customers in Sweden without a permit and are prohibited from serving unlicensed clients in the jurisdiction.
Abios supplies sportsbooks with widgets and odds. Widgets make sportsbooks more esports-endemic by showcasing past results, live scores and statistics alongside their odds feed.

Abios’ B2B licence in Sweden is the latest in a series of recent successes for the company.
