We are already deep into 2026 esports action as the finals wrap up for games like Apex Legends and new seasons begin for League of Legends and Fortnite. However, it’s worth a brief pause to acknowledge that 2025 was a massive year for esports, full of incredible viewership records and the rise of new scenes.
Every year Esports Charts gathers the viewership for esports tournaments throughout the year, and here we are going to highlight the top 10 with the most views.
10: BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025
With 563,411 average viewers and a peak of 1.79 million viewers, the Austin Major managed to fight its way into the Top 10.
This was a monumental event for the Counter-Strike 2 community, bringing the esport back to its roots in Texas. It was aimed at revitalising the Counter-Strike fandom in North America, and the first Major in the United States since 2018.
Unfortunately, North American teams didn’t fare too well. The Grand Final saw MongolZ and Team Vitality fight for the lion’s share of the $1.2 million prize pool. Team Vitality took home $500,000 after winning.
9: MPL Philippines Season 15
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has been taking Southeast Asia by storm, and one of its largest fanbases lies in the Philippines. MLBB Philippines Season 15 had 192,071 average viewers across 162 hours of runtime. The Grand Finals between Team Liquid and ONIC Philippines had 1.8 million peak viewers.
8: LCK Cup 2025
It’s far from a shock to see South Korea’s inaugural LCK Cup in this Top 10. It featured the ten best teams in the country, who were competing for a spot in the inaugural First Stand global event.
The LCK Cup had 428,479 average viewers over 48 hours and 1.9 million peak viewers. It actually had more viewership than First Stand despite only being an event for South Korean teams, showing just how popular League of Legends is in the country.
7: LCK 2025 Season
It comes as no surprise, then, that the LCK 2025 Season is also in the top 10. Over its five months, the season had 752,227 average viewers and 1.97 million peak viewers. It was the most-watched region before the Mid-Season Invitational, which makes total sense.
The LCK is popular with not just South Korean fans, but League fans all over the world. It has some of the most popular teams in the entire esport, including T1.
6: ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: Mobile Masters 2025
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang shows its popularity once again with the Mobile Masters 2025 tournament. Twelve teams competed for $200,000, with fans tuning in to the exhilarating action and to hear commentary from popular casters.
The Mobile Masters 2025 tournament had 468,387 average viewers throughout the 36 hours of airtime. The 2.72 million peak viewership happened during the Grand Final match between ONIC Philippines and RRQ Hoshi, which saw ONIC Philippines triumph 4-1.

5: MLBB Mid-Season Cup 2025
Another Mobile Legends: Bang Bang event, the MLBB Mid-Season Cup took place during the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia. With a prize pool of $3 million, this was an intense event featuring top teams from around the world and action-packed matches.
The average viewership was 599,873 and the peak viewership was 3 million fans. The MLBB Mid-Season Cup 2025 was the most-viewed event at the seven-week Esports World Cup event, making up nearly one-third of its viewership.
4: MPL Indonesia Season 16
Yet another Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament made the top 10, this time in Indonesia. This was the final competition ahead of the M7 World Championship for Indonesia, meaning the stakes were high and the matches were intense, with two qualifying spots on the line.
Approximately 460,000 average viewers tuned in to MPL Indonesia Season 16 and 3.1 million peak viewers watched the Grand Final match.
3: Mid-Season Invitational 2025
Esports fans won’t be taken aback to see a League of Legends event in the top three. This was the most popular Mid-Season Invitational to date, with an average viewership of 955,205 and 3.44 million peak viewers during the Grand Final between Gen.G and T1.
South Korean teams are popular all over the globe, and fans tuned in to watch Korea’s best teams take on the world. League of Legends players also wanted to see the new Fearless Draft in action for the first time, a system which renders any champion selected or banned in a game made unavailable for the rest of that series. There were also co-streams by popular League of Legends content creators that boosted the viewership.
2: MPL Indonesia Season 15
In a noteworthy turn of events, Indonesia’s Season 15 had more viewership than Season 16. This season had 488,525 average viewers over the 232-hour airtime and 4.1 million peak viewers. This made it the third-most-watched tournament in the history of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Indonesia is the clear winner when it comes to the biggest fandom in MLBB. Fans from the country and beyond tuned in to the two seasons all year, rooting for the country’s talented teams.
1: League of Legends World Championship 2025
The number one esports event of 2025 was Worlds. Worlds 2025 was the biggest event by some distance, with 1.53 million average viewers and 6.7 million peak viewers during the Grand Final between T1 and KT Rolster, two South Korean teams.
This was T1’s sixth Worlds win, something no other team has achieved before. Both teams are sponsored by South Korean phone companies, SK Telecom and KT Corporation.
However, this was not the largest Worlds ever to take place. The 2024 World Championship had 6.85 million peak viewers, making it the most-watched esports event in history.
