The summer season of the challenger series is here with six teams who will fight for a spot in the summer playoffs. The teams competing are the upcommers in the league scene and they will fight for a chance to join the LCS.
Six teams has qualified and earned a spot to the summer season:
Two teams from EU LCS summer promotion, 3rd/4th placed from EUCS spring playoffs, and two teams from EUCS summer qualifiers.
Before the regular season starts there will be a summer qualifier, where 12 teams will compete for two available spots into the challenger series summer season. The qualifier will use a round robin group stage with best-of-one matches, the 1st and 2nd from each group will advance to the finals that will be played out in a best-of-five with the winner earning a spot in the EUCS summer season.
The format for the summer season will be six teams fighting in a best-of-two round robin stage where they get three points for a win and one point for a draw. The top four at the end of the season will advance to the playoffs based on total points earned. The playoffs are Best-of-Fives in a Single Elimination bracket.
